About the Author
Louise Anne Bateman lives and works in West Sussex, England, and decided to become a writer somewhere around her fifth birthday (probably). She graduated from Roehampton University with a degree in Creative Writing and English Literature, and her great loves include books and musical theatre. She has written several pantomimes based on popular fairytales and legends, and her début novel, The Angel's Shadow was published in 2014.
She wrote her first pantomime, Cinderella in 2010 for her local amateur dramatics society, COS Musical Theatre. She was intrigued by the idea of putting a new spin on a familiar story by telling it from the point of view of Cinderella's fairy godmother, and has kept to this unique method of telling beloved stories in her subsequent pantomimes. She has also been lucky enough to have small roles in the pantomimes she has written: the Ball Announcer and Ghost in Cinderella, Fairy Jasmine in Sleeping Beauty, the evil Queen's henchman Xander in Snow White, Scarlet "Will Scarlet" Williams in Robin Hood, the Enchanted Mirror in The Snow Queen and part of the adult ensemble in Dick Whittington and His Cat.
